Michael Schumacher - good bye to a living legend

Michael Schumacher - good bye to a living legend

One of the great champions of our time has left the stage. One of the greatest legends in motor sport history has left the racing scene. After a fabulous, never before seen career, the 7 times Formula 1 World Champions Michael Schumacher has decided to retire and spend more time with his family and friends.

At this point, although I am sad as all the Schumi fans are, I would like to post my personal thanks to this great champion. Michael Schumacher was the reason I started watching Formula 1. And I has the pleasure of living the Schumacher era and enjoying every drop of it. Thank you for all the special moments I spent in front of the TV, watching you fight for every second of a lap. Thank you for all the times I screamed out loud and cheered at every victory. Thank you for the 16 years in which you wrote hundreds of pages in Formula 1 history (250 GPs, 91 wins, 68 poles and many other records). Thank you for letting us be a part of your incredible Formula 1 career and for offering us some unforgettable moments.

Michael Schumacher has every right to be named Mr. Formula 1! He dominated this sport like nobody else before him. With in immense talent, discipline of steel and even a happy family, he is the ideal sportsman. Always in top form, always eager to earn new hard-worked victories, never too tired for his fans.

Although he didn’t finish on podium in his last race, in was one in pure Schumacher style. When others would have given up after the flat tire, knowing his chances are close to 0, the champions kept on fighting. After coming out of the pit lane in 20th place, with leader Felipe Massa almost a whole lap ahead, he was eager to prove us all, he still si the best man on the circuit! Proving once again his great skill in front of millions of fans, taking every risk that was necessary, with one lap record after another he managed to fight himself up to 4th place! He didn’t miss the chance prove his follower, Kimi Raikkonen, that, despite being the oldest Formula 1 driver this season, he still is the fastest. Sadly, the laps ran out and he didn’t have enough time left to finish 3rd. Even so, in his last race, he proved us all, once again, what a great driver he is!

In the following days i will also publish a history of Michael Schumacher. I invite all the Schumi fans to write comment, suggestions or just a thanks message for this great champion.
