Gymnastics - Aarhus World Championships Denmark China's Yang Wei shrugged off years of frustration to win the men's all-round title at the World Gymnastics Championships in Denmark. He was in front of last year's champion, Hiroyuki Tomita of Japan, with Fabian Hambuechen of Germany taking the bronze.
Vanessa Ferrari became the first Italian gymnast, man or woman, to win the world all-around, putting on a dazzling show to capture the gold medal and edge out overlooked American Jana Bieger, who took silver. Romanian Sandra Raluca Izbasa took the bronze medal.
