Cycling Today's stage in the ENECO Tour confirmed Tom Boonen's lead and the fact that he was looking for a win. The world champion had no problems at all winning the massive sprint at the end of stage 3, thus keeping his red jersey. He is leading the Eneco Tour with 11 seconds advance.

MotoGP (Qualifiers) Il dottore Valentino Rossi pulled out an extraordinary lap at the end of the qualifications to take pole position for the Czech GP in Brno, ahead of Loris Capirossi. Kenny Roberts fired his KR211V to third on the grid, relegating championship leader Nicky Hayden to the second row in 4th place.

Snooker Ronnie The Rocket O'Sulivan is on fire! After smashing Dominic Dale in the semifinal, the englishman is the first player to reach the final stage of this year's Northern Ireland Trophy. He is waiting for his opponent, the winner of the other semifinal: Ding Junhui vs Stephen Lee. But neither one of them seems able to stop The Rocket from winning the trophy!
